Dating back to 1842, Tyninghame Smithy originally operated as the village forge on the Earl of Haddington's estate. Today, this red-sandstone cottage functions as a quintessential Scottish tearoom. Walkers returning from the pine forests of Tyninghame Beach gather around the wood-burning hearth or out in the blooming cottage garden for freshly baked fruit scones, heather honey preserves, lemon drizzle cake, and pots of Scottish breakfast blend.
