Founded in 1984 by architect Lachlan Stewart and textile designer Didy Stewart, ANTA was conceived out of a passionate determination to prove that modern Scottish homewares and textiles could be crafted entirely in Scotland using sustainable, natural materials.
The George Street flagship is an inspiring architectural sanctuary framed by high Georgian ceilings and warm timber shelving. It showcases ANTA’s famous hand-painted stoneware pottery, which is made using Highland clay and fired at their solar-powered factory in Fearn, Ross-shire.
